Celebration of Colorado Sister Cities with Rep. Rosenthal
WHAT: Rep. Paul Rosenthal (D-Denver) will host a celebration of Colorado’s cities and towns participating in the Sister City Program. The Sister City Program was created by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956 with a vision to further peace and prosperity by creating bonds between people from different cities around the world. Sister City relationships today foster cultural, educational, municipal, humanitarian, and business and trade programs and activities. Many Colorado cities participate in the Program and have sister cities around the world. Rep. Rosenthal will be joined by Rep. Amy Stephens (R-Colorado Springs), Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan and Chinese lion dancers.
